What is Hypnosis and How It Works

Hypnosis is a gentle, guided state of relaxation that helps quiet everyday mental noise. In that calmer state, your attention turns inward and it becomes easier to work with the part of your mind that stores habits, beliefs, and automatic reactions.

You stay aware, in control, and safe throughout the session. This is not stage hypnosis or mind control. You can speak, move, and open your eyes at any time. Think of it as focused, comfortable concentration with your nervous system at ease.

When we work with the deeper patterns behind thoughts and emotions, it becomes possible to soften old responses, release what is no longer helpful, and build new ways of relating to stress, memories, and day-to-day life.

Many clients notice small but meaningful shifts after the first few sessions. Deeper and more lasting change often unfolds over four to six sessions, as each appointment builds on the last.

Hello, I’m Natasha Frota.

Thank you for visiting. My journey into hypnosis began with a deep curiosity about the human mind and a strong desire to support others in living more fulfilling and empowered lives. With a background in Psychology and over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, I’ve worked closely with people through many stages of growth, challenge, and transformation.

After completing my B.A. in Psychology at Concordia University and building a career helping individuals thrive in their professional paths, I returned to my roots in mental health. I earned my Clinical Hypnosis Certificate from the University of Toronto and have since been guiding clients through emotional healing, behavioral change, and inner breakthroughs.

I believe that each person holds the potential for healing and change. As a certified Hypnosis Facilitator, I’m here to help you tap into that potential, whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions. Yes. I offer both in-person and **online sessions**. Hypnosis works just as effectively over Zoom as it does face-to-face, as long as you're in a quiet, private space where you feel safe and comfortable.

7. Can I be hypnotized?

Most people can be hypnotized if they feel **safe, open, and willing** to engage in the process. It’s not about being “good” at it—it’s about being guided into a state where your subconscious mind is more accessible. Even skeptical clients are often surprised by how effective it is.

8. Will I remember everything?

Yes, in most cases. While you may feel deeply relaxed, you won’t be unconscious. Many clients remember **most or all of the session**, though the experience may feel dreamlike or reflective in nature.

9. How much do your hypnosis services cost?

Each session is **$180 CAD** and lasts approximately 2 hours. The first session includes a full intake and may take up to 2.5 hours. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs, and most clients benefit from an average of 5–6 sessions.
